Actress / Writer / Improviser
Maarit is an actress, writer and improviser from Helsinki, Finland, currently based in Chicago. She is the founder of Tall Women Theatre Company where she creates and produces new works, such as dark comedies about women who kill men that don’t go down on the women they are sleeping with. Maarit loves to laugh at the ridiculousness and tragedy of human beings (especially herself) and has been described as a fanatic by her clown teacher. Maarit is skilled and truly enjoys both drama and comedy, having trained at East15 Acting School (London) and the
Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (NYC).
In the meantime you can find her wandering the city, binging on documentaries or ranting about the importance of vitamin B12.
